I’ve received a couple inquiries into purchasing my African Flower Hippos recently, so I’m tossing this information here.
I currently have three African Flower Hippos on-hand: Horatio (largest), Helena (medium), and Pip (smallest). Each is created from 46 African Flower motifs, and I would estimate that they take me about 23 hours a piece to produce (each motif takes me about 30 minutes). That being said, I can’t part with these guys for less than $200 a piece due to the sheer amount of time (not to mention materials) I’ve put into producing them. I’d be happy to make new ones on commission for around the same price (you can specify yarn size/colors, etc.), but it will take me longer than the usual 8-12 week production time to produce new ones.
Specifications for the Hippos I have on hand:
Horatio (largest): 23” long, 11” tall,
